Welcome Message
It’s hard to believe that we are finishing another school year together here at Country Hills Public School. We have accomplished so much this year, in all areas of our school goals:
- We continued to work collaboratively in our grade teams to ensure the highest quality instruction for our students and maintain consistency and accountability for our staff.
- We worked in a networking cluster of professional learning with teachers from W.T. Townshend, Elizabeth Ziegler and Franklin Public Schools to further our teacher dialogue and student work moderation.
- We accomplished our very important goals for our School Greening Initiative and installed the Junior Fitness/Playground! A huge thank you to Shea VanSickle for her leadership and to all of you for supporting our fundraising opportunities throughout the year!
- Going For Gold! Our Eco School Submission was completed to accurately reflect all of the wonderful areas of environmentalism that we have committed to, as a whole school community, over this past year. We receive our designation on June 4th!
- We focused our per term assemblies on our commitment to our Kirk Cares Expectations and recognized students per class who demonstrate each expectation consistently.
and we look forward to accomplishing further meaningful and much needed goals into next year!
To our Country Hills Families, I would like to thank you for the support you have provided this year. Your support comes in many forms, e.g., volunteering at school, helping your children at home, at school, supporting the programs offered by the school and just being involved.
To our Country Hills Staff, I would like to publicly “Thank you” for a wonderful year. You are a talented, hard working, dedicated group of people who love kids and provide the very best learning opportunities for them each day.
We look forward to a final month of school which will include: Track & Field activities, our annual recognition assembly for all the students who consistently give of their time week after week, our annual Play Day, organized by our grade 6 students and our two fabulous grade 6 teachers: Mr. MacLean and Mrs. Zamin. We will also finish off this school year by recognizing and celebrating our soon to be departing grade 6 students who will head off to Senior School in September.
