Welcome Message
What an exciting and busy start to the 2010 year at Country Hills Public School! Our students enjoyed Humane Society Visits, skating at Lion’s Arena, skiing at Chicopee, gymnastics club began, chess continued, and the KIDSLINK Tools for Life program persisted with teaching our students appropriate problem solving strategies, and our Junior and Senior Kindergarten students received their first report card of the year! We also enjoyed everyone’s company at our annual family skate night! Whew, what a busy place!
We are also very excited about our Kindergarten registration, which took place on February 2nd where we welcomed over 50 new children to our school! If you missed our Kindergarten registration and your child was born in 2006, please call the office so we can help you register your child. If you know of families who are moving into our area and have children, please let them know that they can come into the school to register.
As we look to the months ahead, we look forward to the many more exciting activities and learning opportunities we have planned for our students. We are excited about the 100th day of school, our annual gymnastics assembly, beginning our annual fundraising campaign for the Heart and Stroke Foundation with our annual Jump Rope for Heart day, Valentines Day activities and Olympic Celebrations. We are also eagerly planning our Third annual Literacy Week which will take place the week of February 22 to 26. Look for a flyer to come home soon with details of special events and activities for the week!
Hold on to your hats! It’s all down hill to March Break!
